Chapter 1286

Cyrus drove over to pick up Noelle.
He sent her a message, and waited in the parking lot for a while.
Five minutes had passed, and she hadn’t come downstairs.
He attempted to call her, but her phone was switched off.

Frowning, he wore a mask and ascended the stairs to check for her.
When he got to Noelle’s private lounge and pushed the door open, he discovered it empty.
He swiftly dialed his assistant’s number.
“Malcolm, check the surveillance. Noelle is missing!”
Noelle was forcefully taken to the Shaw family’s house by the bodyguards.
The atmosphere was shrouded in darkness as Noelle stood at the gate of the house, feeling confused.
“Why did you bring me here? What do you want?” she wondered aloud.
The bodyguards gave her no explanation, but gestured for her to go in.

Noelle hesitated. Just as she was about to message Cyrus, the bodyguard next to her snatched her phone away.
“Don’t worry, Miss Moran. Mr. Shaw won’t harm you. He’s a champion of justice. He can’t do anything unlawful, especially not to a renowned celebrity like yourself,” the bodyguard assured.
With fear, Noelle followed the bodyguard into the house.
Finally, they arrived at a room. The bodyguard opened the door, bowed, and said, “He’s waiting for you inside. You can go in.”
Noelle didn’t know what Mekhi wanted from her, but surely he wouldn’t likely to hurt her when she didn’t even know him personally, right?
Taking a deep breath, she entered the room. The air carried a subtle scent of sandalwood, refreshing and pleasant. The room turned out to be a shrine.
Mekhi was sitting on the sofa, with a serious expression.
As he heard her footsteps, he stood up and turned to face Noelle who was by the door.
A faint smile graced his lips as he said in a gentle tone, “Miss Moran, do you still remember me? We’ve met before.”
Noelle remained impassive.
“Just go straight to the point. Tell me what you want. I’m too busy for this.”
“Fair enough. I won’t waste your time. Let’s get straight to the point.”
