Chapter 1333

“You’ve got yourself a deal.”
Lucinda was left utterly speechless.
So now she wasn’t allowed to voice her opinion?
What happened to respecting a pregnant woman’s thoughts?
In the room, the men’s gazes burned with anger, signaling the beginning of a battle.
“What a fine day we have today. The test should kick off tonight! If you manage to walk out of this place after our assessment, then consider yourself victorious and you’ll have our blessings!” Graham declared, a smirk playing on his Lips.
Nathan nodded faintly.
“Alright.”
Yet, fear seized Lucinda.

“Graham, you were just trying to scare him, right? Please, be careful! Don’t torture him. My future happiness rests in your hands!”

Graham’s expression remained stern. He didn’t seem to be kidding.
This time, Hilliard, the quietest among them, finally said, “How about we start with a toast? Nathan can begin by making a toast to us all first.”
Nathan tensed, a sense of foreboding creeping over him.
Cyrus and Hilliard promptly headed to the kitchen to fetch the wine.
As Cyrus hobbled past Nathan, he gave his shoulder a meaningful pat.
Once they had left, Graham’s stern demeanor softened. He pointed to the nearby sofa and said, “Now, take a seat. You won’t have many chances to sit tonight. Make the most of this one.”
Confronted with the unknown challenges that lay ahead, Nathan wasn’t sure if he would pass the test. However, he willingly obliged and sat down for a brief moment.
Violeta stood up, drew Lucinda close and soothed her in a hushed tone.
“Don’t worry. Your brothers know what they’re doing. If Nathan’s determined to marry you, he must endure this trial to understand the power of your family and win their approval! He won’t dare to mistreat you in the future knowing you have people back you up!”
Lucinda was left utterly speechless.
She understood that they were doing all of this for her. But she couldn’t help feeling sorry for Nathan.
Soon, silence filled the room. Suddenly, the bodyguard stationed at the door entered and said, “Sir, there’s a girl outside. She’s been lingering by the door for a while. Is she one of your guests?”
“A girl?”
Lucinda was the first to ask, “What does she look like?”
