“Mr. Payne, I am Nathan’s fiancee, therefore a part of the Payne family. Nathan is in critical condition, so he shouldn’t overexert himself. I was involved in the events last night, and I would like to speak on his behalf. Would that be acceptable?”
Norton was pleased to hear her refer to herself as part of the family.
