Clara finished her statement with the police, and walked out of the office. She was surprised to see that Rachel was outside. Upon seeing Clara come out, Rachel greeted, “Dr. Jimenez.”
“I thought you’d already left.” Surprised, Clara asked, “Is there anything else you forgot to tell the police?”
Rachel stepped forward, and said, “No, but I was actually waiting for you, doctor.”
“And why is that?”
“I need you to do me a favor,” Rachel said frankly.
As Clara looked at Rachel, her eyes glinted. She subconsciously glanced at the ajar office door behind Rachel. Some police officers were still there, so Clara suggested, “Let’s talk in my office.”
To reach her office from the Inpatient Building, they had to go through a long bridge connecting the two buildings. After that, they continued walking for a while, and soon, they arrived at her office.
Once they were inside, Clara took off her white coat and hung it behind the door. She rolled up her sleeves and poured a cup of water for Rachel.
