Gale let out a sigh, showing she wasn’t too happy. After a pause, she asked coldly, “Caleb, are you abandoning Debra to strengthen your position as Alpha?”
From Gale’s tone, it was clear she cared deeply about Debra.

Word about the Thorn Edge Pack’s latest development had already reached me before Caleb could call. I was aware that he had been relieved of his Alpha position.
Yet, when Caleb informed me of his plan to single-handedly save Debra and instructed me not to step in, I couldn’t suppress a scornful laugh.
