I knew Andrew had saved Debras life. Knowing how much she valued friendships, Debra wouldnt easily fall out with Andrew. Plus, nothing serious had happened between them last night. I worried Debra might think I was intentionally against Andrew, and I feared Andrew might play the victim to drive us apart now that we were finally close again.
So, I smiled and explained, After I went downstairs, Andrews car pulled up not long after. I saw you had fainted in the passenger seat, and I was really worried. I hurried upstairs with you and didnt get a chance to talk to Andrew.
I got it Debra nodded, deep in thought.
But it made me even more curious. It seemed like there was more to the story.
This didnt feel like last time when someone drugged Debra to harm her. It felt different.
My face turned serious as I took her hand and asked, What were you doing at Andrews manor yesterday? How did you end up getting drugged with something so strong?
With a pale face, Debra asked nervously, Is that drug really that strong? How does someone use that kind of drug?

Feeling good, I decided to stop teasing her. Alright. You dont have to eat or inhale the drug. Just a slight touch, and your skin absorbs it.

Debras POV:
Caleb pointed to my right wrist, and I looked down to see a Light red mark. I had been unconscious the day before and hadnt noticed it.
Seeing the red mark, I immediately realized who had drugged me.
Only Caleb and Nora had touched my hand yesterday.
Furthermore, the drug took effect only after I had left the manor.
Therefore, the only possible person could be Nora, the same girl I had rescued from Shirleys oppressive control.
I felt a swirl of emotions but still found it hard to believe.
Why would Nora betray me like this?
I had not only saved her life but had taken her in. I trusted her immensely. I even brought her to Andrews manor and entrusted her with Abbys care. But she betrayed me.
It was shocking!
The thought of what Nora might do to my daughter terrified me.
I needed to get Abby back by my side immediately.
