Rhett glanced at Hannah. “I just couldn’t stand her! I heard she was going up against my sister and I couldn’t let her have a shot at beating her! So I had someone mess with Hannah’s horse. It’s got nothing to do with my sister. If you’re pointing fingers, point them at me!”

Hannah lounged, watching the whole mess unfold, feeling like she had got front-row seats to a comedy show. Then someone foolish sprang out to take the blame, and it was almost too much to handle.
