At that point, the doors to the banquet hall were closed, and Jaylin was waiting outside to escort Lydia in.
Melissa handed Lydia over to him, then entered the hall through a side entrance.

Inside the banquet hall, the host rambled on and on about the bride and groom, until finally, he announced the arrival of the bride-to-be.
“And now, ladies and gentlemen, let us welcome Miss Lydia Phillips!”
The doors were opened, and a spotlight fell on Lydia and Jaylin.
