Aldus even tried to find her, but they were more focused on you back then. So I think they stopped looking.”
“What does she look like?” Holden asked.
Adrian paused, considering for a moment before he described her.
Holden, listening, realized he didn’t recall anyone Like that. It had been so long; perhaps she had passed away. He wasn’t sure what had happened to her or why she had suddenly vanished.
But Holden wasn’t concerned about someone he considered insignificant.
Adrian continued, “It’s sad, really. But Helen’s fate is her own doing. She is malicious and wicked. If she had just kept out of trouble, she wouldn’t be in that mess. She suffers from a congenital heart disease, yet there’s a cure for it.”
“She has a congenital heart disease?” Holden arched an eyebrow.
Adrian nodded. “Yes, and you spent a lot of effort on her treatment.”

Jennifer was not a good-tempered woman. Recalling Adrian’s past behavior, she exploded in anger. “I don’t need it! Adrian should stay away from my home! He enjoys his drinks and flirts with young girls; let him entertain them instead!”
After her outburst, Jennifer ended the call, her anger tinged with sadness.
