This caused Jennifer to be even more furious. She pointed a finger at Jolie and accused, “What? You resort to playing the victim when your excuses fall flat? Is that what you’re trying to do now?”
Jolie’s tears flowed more freely. “If I own up to it, will you just let it slide?”
Jennifer was torn between fury and disbelief, but she thought it wouldn’t be a good idea to escalate the situation further.
