In a subdued voice, Shawn responded, “Mitchel’s in trouble. We couldn’t locate him, but we caught two men in black by the sea attempting to flee. They said Mitchel was stabbed and dumped in the sea.”
Holden’s face darkened at the news. “How’s that possible? Have you scoured the waters around thoroughly?”
Shawn replied, “We’ve combed those waters multiple times, but no luck. Even had a diver out there, still no sign.”
After a pause, he asked, “Should we inform the Chadwick family?”
Holden thought for a while and replied, “Hold off until tomorrow. Meanwhile, ramp up the search party. Cover every inch of those nearby islands tonight. We can’t afford to miss a spot.”
“Understood,” Shawn said, hastening to organize the expanded search.
Holden massaged his temples, a frown etched on his face.
