The glass-door wooden cabinet held many books and snacks. Beside it stood a wooden wardrobe, and a pot of green plants thrived in the corner, seemingly well cared for by the girl.

Despite the heavy rain outside, the room felt warm and comforting. At that moment, Mitchel’s anxiety lessened a bit.
After a while, Marlowe hurriedly swung the door open.
Mitchel glanced up and spotted Marlowe, soaked from the rain. As she quietly gathered her clothes and entered the room, she couldn’t resist grumbling, “The rain outside is pouring. It’s frustrating that there wasn’t any warning about this heavy rain beforehand.”
While talking, she removed her raincoat and placed it by the door.

Mitchel didn’t grab the phone right away. Instead, he frowned and noticed the noticeable bloodstain on Marlowe’s lower calf.
Looking at the blood on her calf, he said, “You’re bleeding.”
Marlowe glanced at her calf and shrugged, saying casually, “The rain’s really pouring out there. Couldn’t see properly, and I got nicked by some wire. It’s fine. Don’t you want to call someone? Hurry up.”
