Just as the phone was about to be switched on, Marlowe leaned in to lend a hand.
The moment she turned on her phone, a bunch of messages flooded her chat app.
“What happened? You haven’t replied to me for so long!”
“Marlowe, are you okay? I can’t reach you. Milly said you’re okay, but I’m still concerned. Don’t forget to call me when you read these messages.”
“Honey, how are you doing these days? Is everything fine with you?”

Marlowe scrolled through messages from her concerned friends; they were all wondering why Marlowe had suddenly disappeared and where she had gone.
The last message was from her best friend.
“Marlowe! Jeff got engaged! He’s such a jerk! You’ve been together for so long, struggling to make ends meet, and now, he married someone else! I’m so angry! How dare he do that!”
When Marlowe saw her best friend’s impassioned rant, her mood dropped.
She pursed her lips and muted the notifications. Then, she handed the phone to Mitchel and said, “Here, make a call.”
Mitchel took the phone. He thought for a moment and dialed his assistant’s number.
As soon as his assistant heard Mitchel’s voice, he was so excited that he almost jumped up. It was only then that Mitchel realized his assistant had not informed the Chadwick family about his accident in the sea yet. Holden had sealed off the area and sent people to search for him. They were all looking for him frantically.

Mitchel said reassuringly, “I’m okay now. I’ll send you my location later. Tell everyone I’m safe. Also, don’t let my grandfather know about this, okay? It’s already late. Have someone come to pick me up tomorrow.”
After the assistant agreed, Mitchel gave a few more instructions and hung up. Then, he handed the phone back to Marlowe.

She felt so disturbed that she couldn’t sleep. Holden sat by her side, trying to comfort her.
Fortunately, Shawn soon came to give them the news. “Mr. Fredrick, we’ve found Mr. Chadwick. Mr. Chadwick’s assistant got a call from him. He’s okay. He’s just stranded on a small island, but he’s safe. We’ll go there tomorrow to pick him up.”
Hearing that, Ariana finally breathed a sigh of relief. She patted her chest and muttered in a low voice, “Thank goodness he’s safe.”

Melon snuggled in Ariana’s arms. Holden couldn’t help smiling while watching them. Then, he turned to Devin and asked, “What about Adele? Why didn’t you bring her here?”
Devin sighed and answered, “Miss Pierre came to see Adele. She took Adele with her.”
