Chapter 1433

She proceeded to explain everything about the ordeal on the ship, from her kidnapping to the moment they received Mitchel’s message.
After sharing all the details, Ariana apologized, “I’m sorry, Catalina. I didn’t mean to put him in danger. He managed to contact his assistant, who’s given us his location. We’re planning to pick him up tomorrow morning. Everything’s set for the journey.”
“It’s mot your fault,” Catalina responded, her worry not entirely eased. “Which island is he on? I’ll have someone there first thing tomorrow morning.”

“It’s called Aurora Isle. I’ll send you the location now,” Ariana said quickly, then sent the coordinates.
The storm had finally passed on the island.
Early the next morning, Marlowe headed upstairs to check on Mitchel.
“Be careful not to let my grandfather find you,” she whispered before heading to the beach with Brock. The recent rain had brought a bounty of fish, and they had a successful morning fishing. Yet, Marlowe’s mind always wandered to Mitchel back at the house.
She worried about his wound. Had it healed at all? Had he passed out again?

Moreover, he mentioned someone was supposed to pick him up in the morning. How was she supposed to sneak him out without alerting her grandfather?
Lost in these thoughts, Marlowe sighed deeply and continued fishing.
She decided to plan a satisfying breakfast since Mitchel was still a patient.
Although Mitchel seemed a bit better today, he still couldn’t handle seafood. Maybe she should pick up some milk and prepare something special for him on her way back.
After making up her mind, Marlowe kept her head down and focused on fishing. Out of the blue, she heard Brock yell, “Oh gosh, what kind of boat is that? I’ve only seen it on TV before.”
Marlowe glanced up and saw two luxury cruise ships gliding across the expansive sea, followed by six ordinary white cruise ships.
She paused, struck by the sight. Just as she was processing the scene, another luxury cruise ship emerged, this time followed by a fleet of black cruise ships.
Watching the grand display, Marlowe recalled Mitchel mentioning someone would come to pick him up. Could these be the people Mitchel mentioned?
Thinking about that, she felt a bit resigned. To anyone else, it might look like a massive sea battle was about to begin.
With so many people on high alert, it was clear that Mitchel, the mysterious man, had a complicated past.
But Marlowe couldn’t afford to dwell on it. Her only concern now was to prevent these people from barging into her home and disturbing her grandfather. She needed to get Mitchel out of her house quickly.
With that, she turned and ran back without hesitation.
Marlowe dashed so quickly that she didn’t hear Brock shouting for her from behind.
She didn’t stop until she reached her home. Her grandfather was in the yard, busy with the dried fish. Spotting Marlowe breathless, he set his winnowing basket aside, walked over with a smile, and asked, “What’s the rush? What happened?”
“I just remembered I forgot to bring the tools, and now, my phone’s missing, too,” Marlowe replied, forcing a smile.
She quickly made up some excuses, grabbed her grandfather’s arm, and said, “Oh, and Grandpa, the fishing tools I used last time are broken. Could you find me a new set? I need to search for my phone now.”
