Joanna ignored this.
“Forget it then! I’m afraid of disturbing him.”
Seeing Joanna being so polite, the front desk lady wanted to help her.
“Ms. Picard, wait a minute. I’ll make a call to ask Mr. Tate if he’s busy right now.” After the front desk lady finished speaking, she immediately picked up the handset and dialed the internal line of the general manager’s office. “Ms. Picard brought kimchi, please ask Mr. Tate if he wants it.”

This was mom’s kimchi.
Just because Hayden invited her to a meal on the weekend and packed a dinner for her mother back home, so her mother insisted that she bring kimchi to Hayden today.
Joanna felt that people like Hayden might not be used to kimchi, but her mother thought that although kimchi was cheap, it was at least a kindness, a gift in return.

After a while, the secretary of the general manager’s office replied: “President Tate asked Ms. Picard to come up.”

Hayden took the bag and took out the jar from it.
