Feeling that he should steer clear of the situation, Bryce left it at that.
Stella hadn’t anticipated Bryce would be so direct with Matthew, so she conceded, “It’s not a big issue; Bryce and I can discuss it.”
“Come to my office,” Matthew stated resolutely.
With that, he stepped into the elevator, leaving no room for Stella to decline.
Feeling cornered, Stella had no option but to follow him.
Once inside the office, Matthew removed his suit jacket and took a seat.
