Before he could finish his sentence, Matthew cut him off sharply.
“She is fine. Take care of yourself, and do not call her again,”
Matthew asserted, his voice laced with a cold warning.
Startled by the voice on the other line, Farris realized that it was Matthew who answered the phone. Undeterred, he pressed, “Where is Stella? I want to talk to her.”
“You don’t deserve to see her,” Matthew said coldly. Then he ended the call and muted the notifications.

Stella woke from her slumber.
